I love baseball, specifically the San Diego Padres. After I read Moneyball, I wondered if a reasonably analytical MBA who loves baseball could find some way to contribute to the understanding and analysis of baseball. As a profession, not likely. Searching around the web one can easily find lots of very thoughtful analysis from very thoughtful people who seem to have been doing this well before I read Moneyball. That said, I still get ideas for analysis, and like an itch that needs to be scratched, I often dive in. This site has a summary of the analysis I have done thus far, plus a summary of my current next projects.
